Every person who consumes air from an air conditioner that is not within their own responsibility and care, is a consumer of conditioned air.
Just like any other product or service, the provider of that conditioned air has a responsibility to ensure they are not causing harm to the consumer. This responsibility is called "Duty of Care"
If you share our expectation that we should be able to breathe conditioned air without it doing us harm, then you can join us as a ACWWA Affiliate, or as a free consumer subscriber.
Each Affiliate and Subscriber adds their voice to a general expectation that a duty of care must include the good hygiene of the conditioned air product that is provided to the consumer.
ACWWA Affiliate Member An ACWWA Affiliate supports our mission and the development of the HVAC Wet Wash Industry in the direction of the ACWWA HVAC Wet Wash Guidelines for Ductless Split Systems. They support the association and our mission because the activities we undertake to grow and develop this industry will have direct benefits to them as a result. Without the support of our affiliate members both financially and in solidarity to the mission, then we would not be able to do the work we do to grow their industry. An ACWWA Affiliate has an interest in the development of the HVAC Wet Wash Industry however is not involved in the cleaning of air conditioners. The Air Conditioner Wet Wash Association welcome new Affiliate Members from the Air Conditioner Wet Wash Industry and other related industries who agree with our mission, that every ductless air conditioner is cleaned at least once a year, back to as new condition, in a safe manner by a suitably trained and qualified professional, using professional equipment and environmentally friendly cleaning products for the good health and protection of the consumer of the conditioned air output. We particularly welcome new Affiliate Members from outside of the industry who have an interest in indoor air quality, energy conservation, climate change, Workplace Health and Safety, or can identify themselves as a consumer of conditioned air. |

When you choose an ACWWA Certified HVAC Wet Wash Specialist to clean your air conditioners, they will "Verify" the standard has been achieved and then affix an ACWWA Hygienically Cleaned Seal. This is your best indicator of an effective cleaning process for the best possible environment for healthy conditioned air. | ACWWA Certified HVAC Wet Wash Specialists Experienced wet wash cleaners may apply to become certified as an ACWWA Certified HVAC Wet Wash Specialist. An ACWWA Certified HVAC Wet Wash Specialist is an individual who is experienced and trained specifically in ductless air conditioner cleaning and has completed theACWWA Certification Process, demonstrating they use fit for purpose equipment and processes to remove all contaminates to the "As New" hygiene required to comply with the ACWWA HVAC Wet Wash Guidelines for Ductless Split Systems. ACWWA Certified Wet Wash Provider An ACWWA Certified Wet Wash Provider is an air conditioner wet wash business that uses only ACWWA Certified Wet Wash Specialists. Why become an ACWWA HVAC Certified Wet Wash Specialist
An ACWWA HVAC Wet Wash Specialist and their Certified Providers, are committed to providing a high quality wet wash cleaning product to the consumer that meets the requirements of the ACWWA HVAC Wet Wash Guidelines for Ductless Split Systems and the ACWWA Code of Practice for Certified HVAC Wet Wash Specialists. The guides outline the wet wash cleaning process with specific requirements that act as a baseline standard that a consumer would expect from a professional HVAC wet wash service provider.
Some of these standard requirements include, but not limited to, use of professional grade equipment that is fit for purpose with a minimum 5 ltr per minute unrestricted flow rate, specific safety and HVAC wet wash training qualifications, cleaning practices to ensure the "As New" standard is Verified throughout the entire unit, and they operate to the general expectations of relevant legal frameworks.
ACWWA Certification has its rewards in recognition as an industry specialist and only ACWWA certified specialists are able to apply the ACWWA Hygienically Cleaned Seal to verify the HVAC Wet Wash was carried out to the standards in the ACWWA HVAC Wet Wash Guidelines for Ductless Split Systems.
